Parental Unit

I have awesome parents.  Truly.  I love ‘em dearly.  In fact, I work for my pops and kinda, sorta supervise my momma at work.  (Moohaha!)  And now…  Well, now I live with them.  That’s right, I’m in my late (ick) twenties and I live with my parents.  Or, I guess, they live with me.

See, in June of 2011 my hometown of Minot, ND was hit with one heck of a nasty flood.  Not fun.  Not fun at all.  My former house, which I rented, was severely damaged by the flood and my parents’ gorgeous home of 25 years that unwillingly received five feet of water on its main floor will quite possibly be torn down to make way for a diversion in the city’s new flood protection plans.  It’s a sad, sad deal.  For them.  For so many others.

But that’s not what this particular page is about.  Nope.  I’ve written about the flood in the past and probably will in the future, but this page is dedicated to my fantastically crazy parental unit and all of their quirky quirks.  I look forward to posting what will very likely be many future blog posts featuring them in all of their glory…  Their crazy quotes.  Silly pictures.  Well, pictures of my dad at least.  My mom has threatened my life should I post pictures of her online.  My rants about living with them…  I mean…

Pray for me.  Kidding.  No, seriously…
